Actually this happened to me this year, we have traveled to Greece for our holidays and we had a good time there, people were great they talk with us and treat us well, about the places we saw all I can say is good things and if I will have the chance to write about this my review will be positive.

Is the topic embarrassing? I don't think so, your friend is just quite sensitive, or just making a big deal out of it. To avoid such situations, just refrain from writing your thoughts on other countries publicly.

I think we are free to write and share what we experience. A European or American may not find squat toilets very comfortable but the Indians should not be embarrassed if people talk about their squat toilets. Bucket bathing is very common here in my country, and I will not find it offensive when people talk about this on the international platform. The truth is truth, there is nothing wrong in sharing truth.
