There are many rabbit raisers in our country maybe because of the prospect of profitability. The rabbit breeds so fast and the maintenance is low especially if you have the land to use for the needed feeds of leafy green vegetables. They say that rabbit meat is very tasty like chicken. To be frank, I don't think I could eat rabbit meat. I still prefer the traditional chicken, pork and beef for my meat.

Rabbit meat is not very popular here, but some restaurants offer rabbit meat dishes as exotic food. It is very expensive, therefore, I have never tasted it. People have started commercial farming of rabbits but rabbits are mainly farmed to be sold as pets.

I have made it a habit to eat rabbit meat most of the time. It is very delicious.

Recently, my father called me to say that he ate rabbit meat. My parents live on a farm and he found a nearby farmer raising rabbits for meat. The meat was priced at $5 for 300 grams, which is two times more expensive than chicken. Rabbit is white meat and good for people at risk of heart disease.
