Batanes is a province of composed of islands in the northernmost part of the Philippines. It is a unique place because of its isolation such that its culture is kind of different. They boast of the zero crime and doors of most houses have no locks. There is also the Honesty Store that sells food stuff and souvenir items. It has no attendant and you voluntary pay for what you have bought. But the best part of Batanes are the hills like that in the song, they look alive with the manicured grass and the grazing cattle. That is the standard scene in all of Batanes.
On the negative side, food is expensive and almost anything is expensive because the main industry of Batanes is tourism and root crops. But the cost of living is compensated by the ample space everywhere. There is practically no traffic on the roads and the main transportation is either the bicycle or the motorcycle. Of course, the air is fresh and the waters are crystal clear. Such is the splendor of nature in Batanes.

Re: The paradise called Batanes
Wow..this appears as a real paradise on earth. A place which is still so pure and away from all the crime is surely worth a visit.
I would love to meet the people residing there and learn about their psychology. We also have a place like this in I India where doors are always kept open
But it is because of the fear of the lord that is worshipped.
A place where this is done voluntarily is really worth all the praise.
